Verse 1:
there was a dream deep inside of me
kept beside the stream waiting patiently
with just a touch to set it free

Verse 2:
there was a fear grown so strong
when it was near things went wrong
so the dream was hidden waiting all along

Verse 3:
there was a place deep inside the mind
barely a trace impossible to find
where the river ran and the dream was kept behind

Verse 4:
there was a light it seemed so far away
almost out of sight in the breeze it would sway
and it shown from inside me brighter than the day

Verse 5:
there was a time when my mind was still
I dared to climb over that distant hill
and the dream awakened with all the world to fill

Verse 6:
there is a dream glorious and new
kept beside the stream waiting for you
with just a touch it will blossom into view
